Does it feel like almost every argument turns out the same way?
EFT in Marriage Counseling
Here’s why it’s different, and how it works.
In Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for marriage counseling, we look at relationships differently. We don’t see either partner as being to “blame” for the issues in the relationship. Instead, we know that relationships get stuck in what we call “The Cycle”.
This can look a little different from couple to couple, but common examples of “The Cycle” include:
One partner is almost always the one to initiate (“pursuing”). The other one shuts down (“withdrawing”).
Both partners have a “pursuing” style. They seem to have a hard time discussing difficult topics in the relationship. This rarely happens without conflict.
In EFT for marriage counseling, we uncover the patterns that fuel your cycle. We actively use tools in session to re-route your patterns, allowing you to finally step out of the cycle for good. Check out this link to learn more about EFT for marriage counseling, click this link.
